Decent stapler?

I bought what I thought would be a good stapler for closing up my coin two-by-two's and now most of the staples are screwed up when I use it. Can anyone recommend a good high-quality stapler? I don't want a powered one though. Cost isn't much of a factor.

I highly recommend a Max Mini - MAX-HD-10DFL. $11 Plus S&H. Make sure you also buy plenty of staples at same time to save on combined shipping.

or on eBay

Wow, maybe you got a bad one? I have a #747 chrome plated. Punches through stacks of paper. Also, use premium staples. The thinner ones will crap out on you.

I bought a "Flat Clinch" stapler at one time, but the mechanism is much more complex and failed after a few thousand staples! lol
Now I have a "regular" swingline stapler and a nice set of needlenose pliers to flatten out the staples. Works great and keeps me busy when my wife wants to talk! :s1:

Get one like this.
http://stapleroftheweek.blogspot.com...r-castell.html

I have 3 of them at my dept. at work and have used them daily for almost 15 years. They are industrial quality, made in sweden, have a comfortable action to use and make it easy to put the staple where you need it. Some office supply store should carry them. Make sure the one you get is made in Sweden. They used to cost about 12 bucks but now they probably cost 25. They never wear out so I haven't had to replace one. They'd work fine for sandwiching cardboard 2x2's. A standard desktop stapler feels like cheap crap by comparison.
P.S. For removing staples the best thing I've found is to use heavy duty tweezers made by Xacto. Faster than any staple remover and does less damage to the paper.

Yes, I think you need a plier stapler which uses much stronger staples than the usual office stapler. I have one called the Rapid Classic:

I think you would need these staples:
